Biography

Mallory grew up near Lake Tahoe and has always had a passion for staying active and connected with nature. After studying Civil Engineering and Biology at the University of Nevada, Reno, Mallory spent several years working in the Lake Tahoe basin and Alaska as a biologist and bartender, spending the shoulder seasons traveling internationally, snowboarding, and backpacking. Life as a biologist created a strong understanding and appreciation for the human body and the natural world. Working in the service industry created a love for interacting with people and allowed her the freedom to live her passions and travel the world, gaining invaluable experiences and a deep knowing for herself.

As a passionate and competitive snowboarder, Mallory sustained multiple serious injuries. Recovering from a brain injury in 2012 led her to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, where she received remarkable positive effects. The treatments not only relieved her post-concussion syndrome but also treated chronic musculoskeletal pain and life-long digestive issues. Her focus shifted to the fundamental building blocks of health: nutrition, mindfulness, and movement. Through her personal journey to find a healthy and balanced lifestyle, she realized her true passion for health and helping others reach their optimum health in an effective, holistic, and sustainable way. Mallory spent several years studying holistic nutrition, yoga, exercise, and meditation before embarking on her Chinese Medicine studies.

Mallory has extensive training in Shiatsu massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Chinese herbal medicine, and treating musculoskeletal pain. She has also interned at two Portland hospitals in the Pain Management and Oncology departments. Mallory’s treatments incorporate modern science, ancient wisdom, and our interconnectedness with nature to develop a compassionate and individualized plan for each patient.

When not seeing patients, Mallory enjoys spending time with her husband, Ian, and gregarious 3-year-old boy, Eli, doing almost anything outdoors.
